1. DVDs of Good Teaching, Successful Learning
The aspiration to continuously develop the quality of teaching and learning in our schools is at the heart of our professionalism. We have produced this DVD resource to enable schools to observe and evaluate the qualities of good teaching and of the successful learning that result from it.
These sets of DVDs include sample lessons from primary and secondary schools in the UK. They cover subjects such as Maths, English, Science, Drama and Technology. Using the advanced teaching facilities, the activities in these lessons are active and lively, and are easy for Chinese teachers to implement. Each lesson has Chinese subtitles and will help the Chinese teachers to understand more about the original lessons.
Use of this set of DVDs is a staff development activity in itself.Staff can explore the details of good practice and observe the effective outcomes that result from it.The resource enables schools to compare the judgments of different observers and moderate their own classroom observation process.
We firmly believe that these DVDs will help schools identify the key qualities of effective teaching and learning and thereby improve the teaching efficiency.
