About us Cambridge Education is a member of the Mott MacDonald Group, and one of the largest education training and consultancy agencies in the UK. We provide services in almost every area of educational development including: school development and performance management consultancy; in-school training; consultancy advice; ICT consultancy and training and delegate courses. Cambridge Education is a major provider of inspections of schools in England on behalf of the Department for Education and Skills (now the Department of Children, Schools and Families). We also provide inspection services to the New York Department of Education to review the standards and quality of 1400 city schools. Internationally, Cambridge Education has dedicated over 25 years to international development work. We have worked in more than 40 countries throughout the world providing consultancy services and project management for a range of international organisations and agencies such as the UK Department for International Development (DFID), the European Union, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
In China, Cambridge Education endeavors to support Chinese education reform through our extensive professional knowledge and experience. We actively cooperate with Chinese national, provincial and district education offices, and with agencies and experts from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Beijing Normal University, and East China Normal University. Since 1999, Cambridge Education has provided professional support to a range of projects including: the Gansu Basic Education Project (GBEP) ; the Southwest Basic Education Project (SBEP); the Poor Rural Communities Development Project (PRCDP); the Basic Education in Western Areas Project (BEWAP); the ICT in Rural Areas Project (ADB) and the EU Gansu Education Support Project (EU). At the same time we also offer a variety of services in: school-evaluation; headteacher training; teacher training and UK study tours to Chinese schools and districts. Since 2003 we have been working with Haidian District on a School Development Planning Project and working with Peking University Department for Teacher Education on a research project on school evaluation in Shenzhen. Cambridge Education believes every child matters. Through the Cambridge Education Foundation, our non-profit making arm, we support girls’ completion of their primary education in China’s poor rural areas. Since 2003, we have been providing scholarships to 400 poor minority girls in rural Gansu through the Cambridge Education Foundation. This support is given for the whole primary cycle to ensure that the girls finish primary school.
